A Cat and a Book (Falling for Your Best Friend’s Twin by Emma St. Clair)

A sweet kitten to go with a sweet romance. On today’s episode of A Cat and a Book, we are getting a gray kitten partnered with a sweet romantic comedy. Warning: I haven’t actually read this book. It’s on my kindle, and I’ve read the first page.

But before I go into more detail about the book, is this kitten not adorable? I would kiss that nose a bazillion times without hesitation. So! Cute!

According to the image details (which I licensed, as this kitten is worth it) this is a British shorthair. This is a freakin’ adorable shorthair.

Here’s the description from the publisher:

Falling for Your Best Friend’s Twin is a laugh-out-loud, heartwarming romcom with opposites attract romance, couples’ massage disasters, and a healthy dose of forced proximity. Tons of sizzling chemistry with closed-door romance!

Will I love this book? Who knows. I hope so, but I thought I’d share what is next on my TBR list. As this book is available in the Kindle Unlimited library, it is only on Amazon.

Since I’m here, have some commentary from my real life:

I have been chosen by a hummingbird.

He She visits me every day, and he she makes sure I am feeding him her on time on the proper schedule. I think I’m the first person in my little area of the world who has a hummingbird feeder out, as they haven’t really started their migration in earnest.

He’s She’s a sweet little Anna’s hummingbird, and he she understands how the door works, and tries to figure out how to get into my home when he she wants his her nectar refreshed…

My spouse has declared that I am not permitted to bring any hummingbirds into our home. I feel this is very unfair, as my winged suitor keeps trying to figure out how to open the door.

Sorry, little dude. You weigh less than an ounce. The glass patio door weighs substantially more than an ounce. This just isn’t a battle you’re going to win. But keep trying, because you’re adorable.

Note: upon looking for a picture of my winged suitor, I have learned that she is definitely a female hummingbird, which explains some of her behaviors, and why she finds my mobile to be fascinating. My mobile consists of plastic Anna’s hummingbirds.

She seems to find them comforting, as she’s always hanging out around them and the feeder, so I suspect she thinks that they’re safe or some such. But she’s definitely a female. (She is too large to be a juvenile male.)

I love hummingbirds, and I hope she’ll be around all spring, eventually with her babies. (The babies are just delightful.)
